This Suffolk fleece is packed tight! It only weighs 4 lbs, but you will get a lot of wool for your money! Suffolk fleeces will dye very well. They make great socks and scarves especially when combined with other fibers. On a scale from 1 to 10 being the strongest, I would rate this fleece a 7. This is a raw fleece, and we do not cover our sheep. They are not range sheep however. They will be bug free! Staple length is usually 2-4 inches, and I think this fleeces follows this average.
